"One pepperoni pizza..."

I am kind of excited because this will be my first ever food blog. So this past weekend I was in the town of Hamilton, MI with a couple of friends helping out a friend film a football promo that he is currently working on. It was a Friday night after a high school football game that we go out to eat. We went there around 11pm. My friend suggested this pizza place called Fricano's. He mentioned that this place served the best thin crust pizzas you will ever have...in Michigan at least.

"One White-Russian please..."

The entrance to the place is a big red door (sorry no photo of the entrance). When you enter inside it seems like you are in a maffia meeting place. There are three sections to Fricano's: the first section is the one without the bar, the second section is the next room with the bar, and the third section is the upstairs banquet hall (again sorry no photos of the rooms).

Everyone gets their own separate full-size-pan pizza. You could order from several different toppings: pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, anchovies, and etc. or any combination of those toppings. My friends both ordered a pepperoni pizza. I ordered a combination of sausage and mushrooms. The taste of this thin crust pizza was amazing! You would have to eat it to believe it. I couldn't believe I ate a whole pizza - it was ridiculous. That sums up my time with awesome friends at Fricano's. Also, remember to bring cash or check because they do not accept cards. Fricano's pizza is located in downtown Holland, MI.

On the drive to work...

[The NEW school Joy Williams]

So I do not usually listen to the radio, but I am currently driving a car without a tape or CD player...it is insane!!! Only the radio is available to me while in the car. At first, I flipped back and forth between 105.3 and 104.5, then switched to 105.7, and did a rotation of the three channels. Finally I decided to check what was on 88.9 Way-FM which is a Christian radio station (which I don't usually listen to, but between the three other radio stations there wasn't anything good to listen to).

The first song that they played was an upbeat, dance track (I wish I knew the name and artist of the song) which suprised me because I would usually hear them play contemporary stuff. Well the next track they played was a contemporary Christian Rock song: Switchfoot - "Awakening". After that, the next song they played was an Indie track which it also suprised me a little bit. At first I thought it was a Feist track, but in fact it was Joy Williams track.

For a moment I was in a state of awe and amazement. My morning turned from regular to musical WOW (yeah that's right)! Her style has changed! She has gone from contemporary to indie; it is incredible and I like it...a lot! This also goes to show that electronic produced songs are becoming popular in the music world.
